A T5 fixture made for Exo Terra's very high output UVB bulbs. The polished reflector pushes more of the bulb's UV down into the terrarium, and it can sit on the mesh top or mount inside with clips.

The reflector spreads UVA and UVB across a wide area rather than a narrow hotspot, and gives the UVB more reach. The electronic ballast runs the bulb steadily and, Exo Terra says, helps its performance and life.

Who it suits
Single terrariums and multi-enclosure setups such as reptile rooms and breeding setups. Pick the bulb for the species, not the fixture:

Setting it up
On top of mesh: rest it on a suitable terrarium screen. Simple, but the mesh reduces the UV that reaches your reptile.
Inside the enclosure: fit it with the optional mounting clips, so no screen sits between bulb and animal.
Linking: connect up to 10 fixtures with optional grounded link cables or adapters, and run them from one power source and one timer.
Our advice
Mounting inside can change the UV level a lot, because there is no mesh between the lamp and the reptile. Reset the basking distance when you move a fixture inside, and measure the UV index at the basking spot where you can.

Does it come with a UVB bulb?
No, it is the fixture only. Choose a T5 UVB bulb for your reptile's needs.
Can I use another brand of T5 bulb?
Exo Terra says it runs other T5 linear fluorescent bulbs of the right wattage.
Can it sit on a screen lid?
Yes, it is made to sit on suitable terrarium mesh. Allow for the UV the mesh blocks when you set the distance.
Does it give basking heat?
No. It is a fluorescent fixture. Use a separate heat source for your species.
