The T5 Terrarium Top normally sits on top of the mesh, and mesh blocks some of the UV. Exo Terra made these clips so the fixture can go inside the enclosure instead, where no light or UV is lost on the way down.

Reset the basking distance
Moving the light inside means more UV reaches your animal at the same distance. Check the basking distance again, and measure the UV index where you can.
