What's included

Not included: the heat tape, installation, a thermostat, or tools. A secure crimp needs proper crimping pliers.
Choosing a connection option
Order one kit for each piece of tape that has its own cord. Three separately powered pieces need three kits. For a multi-level rack on one cord, parallel wiring is simpler.

It fits our Redline Science THG tape in all five widths: 3 in, 4 in, 6 in, 12 in, and 21 in. Do not assume it fits other brands.
Safety
Fit every connection properly and insulate each contact point. Never run tape with exposed conductors, damaged insulation, or a loose connection. If you have not done this before, have a qualified person do it, or choose our install service.
Thermostat and a flat run
Always run heat tape through a proportional thermostat rated for the full load, never straight from an outlet. Keep it flat, never overlapped, folded, or rolled up while powered.

No. This is the supply-only kit. Choose supply and install if you want us to fit them.

Yes. THG recommends proper crimping pliers for a secure connection.
