Parallel wiring connects each section across the same supply, so every level gets full voltage and you need one cord instead of one per shelf. The loads add up, though, so the whole assembly runs as one circuit on one thermostat.

Choosing a connection option
Count the heat tape levels in your rack.
Set the quantity to that number: four levels, quantity 4.
Measure the distance between each level and put it in your order notes, for example "four levels, 6 in apart". The gaps can differ from level to level.
Add enough THG heat tape for every level. It is not included.

It fits our Redline Science THG tape in all five widths: 3 in, 4 in, 6 in, 12 in, and 21 in. Do not assume it fits other brands.
Safety
Add up the load
Every connected level adds to the load on one thermostat output. Four 60 W sections make 240 W, so the thermostat, cord, and connections must all be rated for the total.
One circuit, one temperature. A single thermostat output cannot set each level separately, so check temperatures on every level.
Secure the probe where routine maintenance cannot move it.
Inspect the assembly for damaged insulation or loose connections, and disconnect it at once if you find any.
Thermostat and a flat run
Always run heat tape through a proportional thermostat rated for the full load, never straight from an outlet. Keep it flat, never overlapped, folded, or rolled up while powered.

Can I connect different lengths?
Possibly, as long as the total load and temperature needs suit one controlled circuit. Ask us with your layout.
Does it work with other heat tape brands?
No. It is for THG tape only.

Parcels across Canada and the US are priced at checkout from the packed boxes. Pallets and freight we price by hand, usually within one business day, and you pay nothing until you have seen the total. Pickup in Calgary is free.
Returns
14 day returns on eligible unused stock items, return shipping paid by the customer. Built-to-order goods are covered by the construction warranty rather than by returns. Restocking Fees Apply for returns
