  • 3 tubs
  • 4 in THG belly heat
  • 1/2 in PVC
  • Series II stacking

Each level holds one ARS 70 tub, the heavier-duty tub we now use in place of the Iris CB-70 these racks were first designed around.

Who it suits

Breeders and keepers adding to a Series II setup, or starting small. Check that the tub gives each animal enough space, and keep a cooler end in every tub so it can move away from the heat.

Tubs and heat

  • Probe slots on every shelf, with built-in strain relief so the probe is not pulled out by accident.

  • Vented probe slots put the probe in direct contact with the air by the heat tape under the tub. Vivarium Electronics suggests the centre shelf as a starting point.

  • Replaceable heat tape, so a failed strip does not mean a new rack.

Thermostat required
Never run heat tape without a proportional thermostat. Check the temperature inside the tubs with a separate thermometer before you add animals, and again whenever you change the setup.

Choosing your options

  • Assembled or flat packed, set with the option above.

  • Tub style: semi clear or grey, with or without a cup holder. The rack price does not include the tubs.

  • Three large hides, casters, and shelf pins can be added. Accessories in the photos are not included.

Series II only
Series II racks stack and lock with other Series II CB70 racks, such as the CB70-5. They do not stack with the original CB70-3.

Questions

Are tubs included?

No. The rack is priced without tubs. Choose your ARS 70 tub style when you order.

Will it stack on my older CB70-3?

No. The original CB70-3 and Series II use different stacking systems.

Do I need a thermostat?

Yes. The belly heat must run through a suitable proportional thermostat, sold separately.
