The longest bar in Arcadia's standard Jungle Dawn range, for large and tall planted enclosures where light has to reach plants well below the fixture. It does not make UVB, so pair it with a UVB fixture.

What it's for

In a big or tall bioactive cage, a weak light leaves the lower plants starved. The 51 W Jungle Dawn floods a wide area with bright 6200 K daylight and high PAR, so plants further from the fixture still get enough to grow.

It is a plant and display light, not a UVB source. Link it to an Arcadia ProT5 UVB fixture and both run from one outlet.

Setting it up

  • Inside the cage, fix it to the ceiling with the included fittings.

  • Above mesh, place it over a mesh-top terrarium.

  • Linking, use the included link cable to join other Jungle Dawn bars or standard ProT5 UVB fixtures, up to 10 on one power source.

Keep it out of reach
Arcadia specifies at least 125 mm (5 in) between the bar and the animal. Where your animal can climb to it, fit a LampGuardPro so it cannot touch the fixture.

Does Jungle Dawn give UVB?

No. It gives bright visible light and high PAR only. If your species needs UVB, add a UVB fixture such as an Arcadia ProT5 UVB kit.

Is a link cable included?

Yes, with the power cable, its switch, and the mounting fittings.

Is it bright enough for a tall cage?

It is the strongest of the standard bars, and Arcadia measured PAR 126 at 18 in. How much your plants need depends on the plants, so use the table above to plan the height.

Can you fit it in a new cage?

Yes. When you buy compatible lighting with a new Cornel's World PVC cage, choose the installation option when you order. Tell us about your plants, basking spot, and other heat or lights so we can place it well.
