What it's for

Plants need enough light as well as the right spectrum. This bar puts out high PAR, the part of light plants use for photosynthesis, across a wide 120° spread, and its high CRI makes animals, plants, and décor look naturally coloured.

It suits small bioactive enclosures and planted terrariums, tropical or arid, compact PVC cages where a long fixture will not fit, mesh-top terrariums, and a focused planted area inside a larger enclosure. It does not make UVB, so a reptile that needs UVB also needs a UVB fixture. The two can be linked, so one wall outlet runs both.

Setting it up

  • Inside the cage, fix it to the ceiling of a suitable enclosure with the included fittings.

  • Above mesh, rest or mount it over a mesh-top terrarium.

  • Linking, use the included link cable to join other Jungle Dawn bars or standard ProT5 UVB fixtures, up to 10 units on one power source.

Keep it out of reach
Arcadia specifies at least 125 mm (5 in) between the bar and the animal. If your animal can climb to it, fit a LampGuardPro so it cannot touch the fixture.

Does Jungle Dawn give UVB?

No. It gives bright visible light and high PAR only. If your species needs UVB, add a UVB fixture such as an Arcadia ProT5 UVB kit.

Is this the smallest Jungle Dawn?

Yes. At 290 mm it is the shortest bar in the standard range, for compact enclosures and focused planted areas.

Is a link cable included?

Yes, with the power cable, its switch, and the mounting fittings.

Can you fit it in a new cage?

Yes. When you buy compatible lighting with a new Cornel's World PVC cage, choose the installation option when you order. Tell us about your plants, basking spot, and other heat or lights so we can place it well.
