Its mix of blue, green, red, and traces of far-red light, at high intensity, drives strong photosynthesis. That keeps leaves, stems, and roots growing at a healthy rate with good colour, and can bring plants into flower. It suits plants from the lower layers of the forest. The bright light also helps your animals see their surroundings and the colours in them more naturally.

Exo Terra pairs it with a separate UVB bulb (UVB100, UVB150, or UVB200), so add one if your animal needs UVB.
How is it different from the Forest Canopy?
Deep Forest is 4500 K, like the filtered light of the tropical forest understory. The Forest Canopy suits plants from the canopy.
Can I use it as a room light?
No. It is a pet care bulb for reptiles, amphibians, and invertebrates only.
