Two sockets let you mix bulbs, such as a UVB compact and a daylight LED, to set the light the way your animals need it. Exo Terra says the polished reflector makes a bulb 2.5 times as effective, about 25% more than a regular reflector, and spreads the light evenly.

What it takes
Two screw-in compact fluorescent or LED bulbs, up to 26 W each. Incandescent bulbs, basking spots included, must not go in it. This is the Small Compact Top, made for the Exo Terra Natural Terrarium Small, the Frog Terrariums, and the Screen Terrarium Small. It is not an aquarium canopy and must not be used on any aquarium.
Setting it up
Unplug it before fitting or changing bulbs.
Screw the compact fluorescent or LED bulbs into the sockets underneath. A thin smear of petroleum jelly on the bulb threads makes them easier to remove later.
Check the bulbs are seated, then set the canopy on the terrarium rim with the bulbs facing down.
Keep the vents on top clear of dust and objects. Only use the sliding rim for accessories.
Plug it in and use the switch on the canopy.
Never incandescent
Use compact fluorescent or LED bulbs only, up to 26 W each. It runs hot: let it cool for 15 minutes before changing a bulb, cleaning it, or moving it. Indoor use only, and keep it away from water and damp places.

Can I use a basking bulb in it?
No. Exo Terra says not to use incandescent bulbs in the Compact Top.
Will it fit a glass aquarium?
No. It is made for Exo Terra terrariums, and Exo Terra says not to use it on any aquarium.
