Reptiles and amphibians that need daytime heat. Zoo Med says its UVA is good for their psychological health.
Setting it up
Fit it in a fixture rated for its wattage, out of your animal's reach.
Run it on a thermostat and check temperatures with a thermometer.
Add a separate UVB lamp if your animal needs UVB.

No. It is mainly a heat source. It gives UVA but not UVB.
Can I use it at night?
It is made for daytime. For night, use the Red Night Light or the Nocturnal Infrared Heat Bulb.
