Cuts MistKing tubing clean and square, so each end seats properly in a push-to-connect fitting. The collet tool on it releases tubing from those fittings when you service or rearrange a system.
Part number MKTC1
Description
- Square cuts
- Collet tool built in
- For MistKing tubing
- Part MKTC1
Push-to-connect fittings only seal when the tubing goes in straight. Scissors and utility knives tend to crush the tube or leave an angled end that will not sit right. This cutter makes a straight cut across the tube without deforming it.

Using it
Measure the run between the pump, fittings, and nozzles before you cut.
Set the tubing in the cutter and cut straight across.
Push the fresh end all the way into the fitting.
To take tubing out, press the fitting's collet in with the tool first, then pull the tubing. Pulling against a locked collet strains the fitting. The tool helps most in tight spots or on a collet that is hard to press by hand.
Keep it handy after the first install too: you need a clean new cut whenever you add a tee, elbow, or ball valve, or reroute a line.

Questions
Can I just use scissors?
They tend to crush the tubing or cut it at an angle, and either can stop it seating in a push-to-connect fitting.
Does a MistKing system come with one?
It depends on the system. The Ultimate system includes this cutter with its collet tool.
