Many heat lamps run white and harsh. GoldenSun lamps give a richer, golden light closer to natural sunlight, and plenty of usable infrared heat, so your reptile warms up quickly under the beam while the enclosure keeps a natural look.

Every species has its own basking target, and enclosure size, room temperature, and ventilation all change what 150 W does. Test your temperatures and adjust height, wattage, or thermostat settings to suit.

Setting it up

1. Fit the bulb in a heat-rated fixture with a ceramic socket.

2. Hang it above the basking area on the warm side of the enclosure.

3. Leave a gradient so your reptile can move in and out of the heat.

4. Connect it to a reliable thermostat, especially in a smaller or well-insulated enclosure.

5. Check basking and air temperatures with a digital thermometer or temp gun, and adjust before your animal goes in.

6. Add a UVB lamp suited to your species.
