The preserving locks in the colour and softness while leaving the moss flexible enough to shape, layer, and tuck into detailed work. It has more structure than reindeer moss and is more even than loose natural moss. It will not grow or spread, and kept dry it holds its look for years.

Keep it out of humid enclosures
Preserved moss is not meant to be watered or kept in high humidity, and it is not a live substrate or food for animals. For a living setup, use forest moss or sphagnum.

Where to use it

Setting it up

  1. Start with a clean, dry surface such as wood, foam, plastic, or sealed hardscape.

  2. Tear or cut the moss into natural pieces and press them in, overlapping as you go.

  3. Spot-glue key areas with a suitable adhesive or hot glue, especially on vertical or curved surfaces.

  4. Keep it indoors, dry, and out of harsh direct sun.

Each bag holds unique pieces that vary a little in shape and density. Handle it gently.
