Arcadia EarthPro-A 350 g – Reptile Vitamin & Mineral Supplement

Captive diets rarely match the range of foods an animal finds in the wild. EarthPro-A fills some of that gap with a broad mix of minerals from mineral clay, rather than a few added minerals, and its clay also helps the powder stick to food. Because it has no added D3, it relies on suitable UVB lighting for your reptile to make its own.

The 350 g pouch is the same formula as the 100 g, in a size that lasts longer for breeders and keepers who dust insects or greens often.

Who it's for

Arcadia's examples include bearded dragons, leopard geckos, chameleons, tortoises and plant-eating lizards, skinks and other omnivores, and amphibians. Arcadia also includes it in its guidance for snakes and other carnivorous reptiles, but an animal on complete whole prey may need different supplements, so get species-specific advice before adding powder to an established whole-prey diet.

How to use it

1. Prepare the food your reptile normally eats, such as gutloaded crickets or fresh greens.

2. For insects, put a little powder in a container with them and shake gently until lightly coated. For greens, sprinkle a little over the meal.

3. Use it at every feed, as part of the wider program below.

4. Keep suitable UVB lighting, heat, water, and a varied diet for your species.

The program assumes suitable UVB, temperatures, water, and diet. The right schedule depends on the species, its diet, and its UVB exposure.

What's in it

Carrot and algal carotenoids include provitamin A compounds, but EarthPro-A lists no added preformed vitamin A, and species use carotenoids differently. The vegetable protein brings amino acids such as lysine, methionine, threonine, leucine, valine, and arginine.
