Universal Rocks based the Ledge style on natural Australian rock ledges. Instead of a flat printed wall, the back of the enclosure becomes usable rock: suitable reptiles climb, rest, and bask on the ledges, and the spaces beneath them give cover, for reptiles and fish alike.

Using it in your enclosure
Reptile enclosures: the ledges add climbing and basking spots and hiding places under them.
Aquariums: fish shelter beneath the ledges, and the rock gives the tank depth.
Naturalistic displays: plants, branches, and substrate around the rock blend the back wall into the habitat.
Measuring and fitting
On this size the ledges stand out about 2 to 4 in from the back wall, and the depth varies across the panel with the shape of the rock.
Measure the inside width and height of your enclosure. Walls, trim, and framing make the inside smaller than the outside size.
Check the front-to-back depth, leaving room for the ledges and for your animal, substrate, and décor.
Test fit the background before fixing it, and check where the heating, lighting, and branches will go.
Fix it with silicone, clips, or screws, whichever suits your enclosure material.

No. Universal Rocks makes its Ledge backgrounds about ½ in shorter than the listed size so they fit inside most standard enclosures. Measure the inside of yours before ordering.
How far do the ledges stick out?
About 2 to 4 in on this size. The rock is irregular, so the depth changes across the panel.
Can my reptile bask on the ledges?
Yes, when they sit in the right spot under the heat. Measure the surface temperature and keep it in the range your species needs.
