What it measures

Air temperature and humidity at the sensor, shown on its LCD, which toggles between the two.
Surface or spot temperature through the 6 ft detachable probe, such as your reptile's basking spot or the soil.
Power outages, connection loss, and low battery, each with an alert.

Humidity is read at the sensor

The probe measures temperature only. Place the sensor itself where you want the humidity reading.

It is not only for enclosures: it suits rack systems, incubators, and the fridge or freezer where you keep feeders, as well as other equipment that needs watching, indoors or out. The sensor case is weather resistant and can hang on a wall or stand on its own.

What you need

An internet connection and a router to plug the gateway into. It uploads readings to lacrossealertsmobile.com, where you view them and set alerts.
Two AAA alkaline batteries for the sensor.
