Bearded dragons took to Repashy's Grub Pie, but adults need more plants and less protein and fat than an insect diet gives, and Grub Pie on its own could make for messy stools. Breeders Ron St Pierre and Heather Moye of Fairytail Dragons began blending 1 part Grub Pie with 2 parts Veggie Burger as their dragons' main food, and used it for generations. Beardie Buffet is the factory version of that blend, with carrot and moringa leaf added.

How to feed it
Bring water to a boil on the stove, in the microwave, or in a kettle.
Pour the boiling water into a bowl and stir in the powder straight away, 1 part powder to 2 to 3 parts water.
Let it cool in the bowl, or pour it into a mould. It sets at room temperature.
Cut it into pieces or long strips to feed.
Treat made gel as fresh food: seal it and keep it in the fridge for up to two weeks, or the freezer for up to six months. Keeping the powder in the fridge extends its freshness.

Black soldier fly larvae, pea protein isolate, rice protein concentrate, alfalfa meal, dandelion flour, carrot powder, moringa leaf, coconut meal, dried potato, hominy feed, dried seaweed meal, cane molasses, calcium carbonate, lecithin, locust bean gum, citric acid, dried kelp, dried watermelon, rosehips, hibiscus flower, marigold flower, paprika, algae meal, turmeric, calcium propionate and potassium sorbate (preservatives), natural fruit flavour, rosemary extract, and magnesium, zinc, manganese, and copper chelates. Vitamins: A, D3, C (calcium L-ascorbyl-2-polyphosphate), E, niacin, beta carotene, pantothenic acid, riboflavin, pyridoxine hydrochloride, thiamine mononitrate, folic acid, biotin, B12, and menadione sodium bisulfite complex.

How is it different from Grub Pie?
Grub Pie is mostly insect. Beardie Buffet adds Veggie Burger's plant ingredients, which lowers the protein and fat for adult dragons and firms up their stools.
How long does made gel keep?
Up to two weeks sealed in the fridge, or up to six months in the freezer.
