Mossify Mood Moss – Revita-Moss (Dicranum)

Mood moss grows in dense, mounded tufts, so it gives a build the uneven, living shape of a real forest floor rather than a flat mat. The tufts hold moisture around plants, hardscape, and décor. It is hand-collected from Canadian forests by Mossify, and each square varies in colour, thickness, and contour.

Where to use it

• Plush ground cover around wood, rocks, and water features

• Tropical, temperate, and woodland builds that stay evenly humid

• Enclosures with small reptiles, amphibians, isopods, and springtails

• Moss bowls, bonsai, and cool, shaded, moist spots outdoors

Setting it up

1. Soak it in clean, dechlorinated water for 10 to 20 minutes, or mist it until evenly damp.

2. Let it drain, then nestle it into the substrate, around hardscape, or on a ledge in a shaded, humid spot.

3. Mist regularly to keep it moist, and give it indirect light and good airflow. Avoid hot, direct sun and long dry spells.

With care it softens, greens up, and can start growing again, knitting itself to the surface, especially in a closed or high-humidity terrarium.
