Exo Terra cooks the silkworms in the can to keep their nutritional value, flavour, and aroma. Cooking softens the exoskeleton for easier digestion and breaks down the collagen so your reptile can absorb it; Exo Terra says collagen helps build bone, cartilage, skin, and claws.
Exo Terra says they have the same nutritional value as live silkworms but are easier to digest.
