Zilla Deluxe Critter Cage 20 Gallon + Universal Rocks Background

20 Gallon Reptile Enclosure & Background Bundle

Start with More Than an Empty Glass Enclosure

The Zilla Deluxe Critter Cage 20 Gallon provides a practical glass habitat for suitable terrestrial reptiles. Specifically, the enclosure measures 30″ × 12″ × 12″, giving you a long horizontal footprint for arranging hides, heating zones and décor.

In addition, this package includes a Universal Rocks 30″ × 12″ Ledge Background. Therefore, you can start your habitat with a realistic three-dimensional rock feature instead of leaving the rear glass plain. The textured rock also adds visual depth and extra structure to the enclosure.

Finally, you can complete the habitat with species-appropriate substrate, hides, heating, lighting and décor. As a result, this bundle provides an excellent starting point for creating a complete natural-looking reptile display.

Enclosure Features

Designed for Terrestrial Reptile Setups

The Zilla Deluxe Critter Cage combines clear viewing, ventilation and useful horizontal space. In addition, the 30″ length gives you room to arrange separate areas within the habitat.

• 30″ × 12″ × 12″ enclosure: Provides a long horizontal footprint for suitable terrestrial reptiles.
• Glass construction: Therefore, you get a clear view of your reptile and habitat.
• Screen top: Provides airflow while allowing access to the enclosure.
• Horizontal layout: As a result, you can create distinct warm, cool and hiding areas where appropriate.
• Naturalistic potential: Add branches, hides, plants and substrate around the included rock background.
• Background included: Finally, the package includes a Universal Rocks 30″ × 12″ Ledge Background.

A Strong Starting Point for Your Habitat

Included Universal Rocks Ledge Background

A Rock Background Sized for This Enclosure

The included Universal Rocks 30″ × 12″ Ledge Background adds a realistic three-dimensional rock formation to the enclosure. Instead of leaving the rear glass plain, you can use the background as a natural focal point for the habitat.

In addition, Universal Rocks based the Ledge style on natural Australian rock formations. Its projecting rock surfaces add texture and visual depth. Therefore, suitable reptiles can use some areas for climbing, resting or basking when you arrange the habitat correctly.

At the same time, the 30″ × 12″ format works well with the long, low proportions of this enclosure. For example, you can add branches, plants, hides and substrate in front of the background to create a more complete naturalistic display.

Size & Specifications

20 Gallon Bundle

This package combines a 30″ × 12″ × 12″ Zilla Deluxe Critter Cage with a 30″ × 12″ Universal Rocks Ledge Background. Consequently, the background follows the same listed width and height as the rear of the enclosure.

Building Your Habitat

1. Start with the Background

First, position and test-fit the Universal Rocks background before you add substrate or other décor. This step makes it easier to plan your heating, lighting and other equipment.

2. Add Species-Appropriate Equipment

Next, select heating, lighting and environmental controls for the reptile species you plan to keep. For example, different reptiles require different temperatures, UVB levels and humidity ranges. Therefore, always build the habitat around the needs of the animal.

3. Create a Temperature Gradient

Then, arrange your heating equipment so the enclosure provides an appropriate warm area and cooler area. As a result, your reptile can move through the habitat to regulate its body temperature.

4. Complete the Habitat

Finally, add suitable substrate, hides, water, branches, plants and other enrichment. Consequently, the Universal Rocks background can blend with the surrounding décor and become part of a complete naturalistic display.

Important Use Information

Choose the Enclosure for the Animal

Although this enclosure works well for suitable smaller reptiles and some juvenile animals, enclosure requirements vary considerably by species. Therefore, always consider the animal’s adult size, activity level and environmental needs before choosing an enclosure.
