A Versatile Adhesive for PVC Enclosure Projects and Household Repairs
The Amazing GOOP Household Contact Adhesive is a strong, flexible adhesive and sealant that dries clear. At Cornel’s World, this is the adhesive we use to secure sliding-glass tracks to our expanded PVC reptile enclosures. It is also useful for attaching perch mounts and other accessories to PVC when the adhesive can remain concealed and inaccessible after installation.
Unlike a rigid super glue, Amazing GOOP remains flexible after curing. Therefore, it can handle normal movement and vibration without becoming brittle. Its thick consistency also helps it stay where it is applied and fill small gaps between compatible surfaces.
Beyond enclosure construction, keep a tube on hand for repairs involving glass, plastic, metal, rubber, vinyl, ceramic, wood, brick and more. Once fully cured, the clear bond is waterproof and temperature resistant.

For enclosure projects: Remove all animals before applying. Use only in a well-ventilated area, keep the adhesive concealed and inaccessible, and do not return an animal until the adhesive has completely cured and all solvent odour has disappeared. The manufacturer does not recommend this product for items that come into direct contact with animals, food or drinking water.

How to Use Amazing GOOP Household
1. Prepare the Surfaces
Work in a well-ventilated area. Make sure both surfaces are clean, dry and free of dust, grease and debris. Lightly roughen smooth surfaces for a stronger grip.
2. Apply the Adhesive
Apply the adhesive directly to each surface being bonded. For best results, use it between 50°F and 90°F (10°C and 32°C).
3. Wait and Join
Allow the adhesive to partially cure for approximately two minutes. Then join the surfaces carefully and press them together to create full contact.
4. Allow a Full Cure
Leave the repair undisturbed for at least 24 hours. Maximum strength can take 48 to 72 hours, depending on the materials, adhesive thickness, humidity and temperature.
Plan the placement first: This contact adhesive forms an immediate bond once the coated surfaces are pressed together, so repositioning may be difficult. Follow all directions and safety warnings printed on the package.
Cleanup: Small amounts of uncured adhesive may be cleaned with acetone or a citrus-based solvent after testing the surface for compatibility. Cured adhesive generally must be cut or scraped away.
